Infiniti lease transfer FAQs
Does Infiniti allow lease transfers?
Yes. NMAC allows lease assumptions throughout the term except in the final 7 months.
What's the Infiniti lease transfer fee?
$0 — NMAC does not charge a transfer fee. The fee is waived entirely.
Am I released from the Infiniti lease after transfer?
NO — and this is important. NMAC does not issue a full release of liability. The original lessee remains on the lease as a guarantor for the duration of the term. If the new driver defaults, NMAC can pursue the original lessee for the remaining balance. Understand this before listing.
Why does NMAC keep the original lessee on the hook?
It's NMAC's policy — they offer the no-fee transfer in exchange for the guarantor structure. It dramatically reduces their credit risk on transfers, but it's a real exposure for the original lessee.
